In Events, Fashion, places on August 4, 2010 at 2:34 pm

target-kaleidoscopic-fashion-spectacular-big.jpg

Target is stepping in with an event that’s better than acid. On August 18, Target is taking overThe Standard Hotel here in NYC with an out-of-this world fashion show, dubbed theTarget Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular,” to highlight their fall ’10 collections. In 155 rooms of the hotel, 66 dancers dressed in the latest offerings will be choreographed in sync with the lighting patterns that will set the building’s southern facade ablaze. On the street level, a further 25 performers will appear in a nine-room replica stage that mirrors the windows of the hotel. Even if you don’t live in the Big Apple, you can still get in on the high—Target will broadcast the experience via live-stream on their Facebook page. We’re seeing strange patterns just thinking about it!

August 18, 9.pm. EST, Standard New York, 848 Washington Street (between Little West 12 and 13th streets); 212-645-4646‎

MORGANS HOTEL GROUP AND HUDSON HALL PRESENT ROCK THE HALL A LIVE PERFORMANCE BY MARKY RAMONE'S BLITZKREIG. MORGANS HOTEL GROUP AND HUDSON HALL PRESENTS THE INAUGURAL ROCK N ROLL SESSION,

Hudson Hall is a casual and stylish drinking and dining destination in New York’s iconic Hudson Hotel. Located in the space previously occupied by Hudson Cafeteria, Hudson Hall’s playful interiors, designed by Studio Arne Quinze, in collaboration with Morgans’ design team, are reminiscent of an Ivy League mess hall with long, wooden communal tables with rustic black finish, contrasting with red brick walls. Inspired by the atmosphere of a New England campus, Hudson Hall is a modern, collegiate mess hall that allows guests to craft their meal, through the selection of small plates created from premium sustainable-organic products, indigenous to the New York-Hudson Valley area. Dishes will highlight a diverse melting pot of cultural references derived from relationships built with boutique farmers and immigrant growers who are providing unique products and ingredients that are seasonal in nature.
